License
Frankly, LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use My Tiny Journal for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the application except as permitted by applicable law.
Your journal content
Your journal entries, photos, and other content belong to you.
My Tiny Journal stores your written journal information locally on your device. When you add a photo, the app stores a resized copy in its private app storage and associates it with the entry.
We do not receive, review, or store your journal entries or personal photos on our servers.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use any content you add to the app.
Photos and device permissions
My Tiny Journal may request permission to access your camera, photo library, location, notifications, and supported device security features only when needed for a feature you choose.
You control these permissions through your device settings. Denying or removing a permission may prevent certain features from working correctly.
Your data and backups
Because we do not store your journal content on our servers, we cannot access, retrieve, restore, or recover lost entries or photos.
Complete journal backups include the photos stored by the app. Writing-only safety copies deliberately omit photos and identify how many were omitted.
You are solely responsible for maintaining any device, photo library, or operating-system backups you wish to rely on.
Content may be permanently lost if:
- The app is deleted.
- App data is cleared.
- Your device is lost, damaged, reset, or replaced.
- A device transfer or backup restoration fails.
- No usable backup is available.
Security
My Tiny Journal can require your device passcode or biometric authentication on supported devices.
These features are provided to help protect your journal but cannot guarantee complete security.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your device passcode confidential
- Securing your device
- Managing who has access to your device
- Maintaining any backups you wish to keep
My Tiny Journal does not create or store a separate credential, and Frankly, LLC cannot unlock your device remotely.
Frankly, LLC is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from a compromised device, shared passcodes, disabled security features, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google, depending on where you downloaded the app.
We do not receive or store your payment card information.
Purchase availability, billing, refunds, transaction records, and purchase restoration are subject to the policies of the applicable app store.
Lifetime Unlock
Lifetime Unlock is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. The purchase entitlement does not expire and unlocks the premium features identified at the time of purchase.
Unlocks the premium features shown at purchase. Requires a supported version of My Tiny Journal and a compatible device.
Your memories remain yours. Lifetime Unlock does not affect your ownership of your journal or access to backup, export, import, and restore tools.
Access requires an available, compatible version of My Tiny Journal and a supported device and operating system. Lifetime Unlock does not guarantee future major versions, separately priced products or services, cloud services, indefinite updates, continued availability of every feature, or compatibility with future devices or operating systems.
Eligible purchases may be restored using the same Apple or Google account, subject to the applicable app store's policies.
