Before you contact us
A few quick steps may resolve the issue:
- Confirm that you’re using the latest version of My Tiny Journal.
- Close and reopen the app.
- Restart your device.
- Confirm that your device has enough available storage.
- Check that notifications are enabled if journal reminders aren’t appearing.
- Confirm that My Tiny Journal has permission to access your photos and camera if you’re having trouble adding images.
- Confirm that biometric access is enabled on your device if Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint unlock isn’t working.
Password and biometric lock
My Tiny Journal can be protected using an app password and supported device biometrics.
For security and privacy reasons, we cannot see, recover, or reset your app password remotely.
If you lose access to the app, available recovery options may depend on the version of the app and the settings enabled on your device.
Do not delete or reinstall the app unless you understand how doing so may affect your locally stored journal entries and photos.
Your journal, photos, and backups
Your journal entries, favorites, settings, and other app data are stored on your device.
Photos used in My Tiny Journal may also be stored in the My Tiny Journal album within your device’s photo library. Removing photos from that album may cause them to stop appearing with their journal entries.
We do not receive or store your journal entries or personal photos on our servers.
Because your journal stays on your device, we cannot view, restore, or recover content that is lost or deleted.
You are responsible for maintaining any device, photo library, or operating system backups you wish to rely on.
Your journal content or photos may be permanently lost if:
- The app is deleted.
- The My Tiny Journal photo album is deleted.
- Photos are removed from your device.
- Your device is lost, damaged, or reset.
- App data is cleared.
- A device transfer fails.
- No usable backup is available.
Before reinstalling the app, resetting your device, clearing app storage, or deleting the My Tiny Journal album, make sure you understand whether your journal and photos have been backed up.
Photos aren’t appearing
If a photo is missing from an entry:
- Confirm that My Tiny Journal still has permission to access your photo library.
- Check whether the original photo is still available on your device.
- Check the My Tiny Journal album in your photo library.
- Close and reopen the app.
- Restart your device.
If the original photo was deleted or moved and no backup is available, My Tiny Journal may not be able to restore it.
Your written journal entry may remain available even when its photo cannot be found.
Purchases and Restore Purchase
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, depending on where you downloaded the app.
We do not receive or store your payment card information.
If you previously made a purchase, use Restore Purchase in the app while signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase.
Purchase availability, billing, refunds, and transaction records are also subject to the policies of the applicable app store.
